If so, what am I allowed to write, and what general forms does it take? And Companions, I believe that they are reincarnated, but the name thing gets me-dosent it in Arrows of the Queen say that oftentimes Companions let their Heralds choose names for them? If so, wouldnt it be kinda, well, for lack of a better word, and DEFINATLY not wanting to offend or insult anyone, be stupid to say that some Companions are reincarnated Heralds from previous books if you dont get to read the Chooseings? Because then you dont know if they gave their name or if they got given one. Oh, and by the way, is Herald Chroniclar Myste Misty who is writing herself into her own books? Well, AFAIK all fanfic involving a Misty created world or characters is regulated by Queen's Own, and I'd suggest your contacting them for info. Some listmembers are also part of Queen's Own, and if not you can prolly get the pertinent contact info on Valdemar's Heartstone, a web page containing info about all the different fan groups at: http://www.tardis.ed.ac.uk/~ism/lackey/ > Samantha Bard in training (If I'm allowed to >call myself that) Well, I don't see why not =) The Bard concept is hardly one that Misty created herself so it should not be copyright infringement the way calling yourself a Herald of Valdemar might be, and as far as list etiquette is concerned, as long as you don't call yourself a God or Goddess or become part of the different groups without first asking, you can basically call yourself anything you like. If anyone wants more info about the different groups, guilds, etc. you can visit the Newbie fest site at: http://www.ling.udel.edu/hyde/pers/misty/newbiefest.html Hope this helps, Ele Councilor of Mist ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 Sep 1997 12:26:17 -0400 (EDT) From: SEANSQ-+AT+-aol.com To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: getting nice stuff Message-ID: <970921122256_-1431924085-+AT+-emout08.mail.aol.com> In a message dated 97-09-21 11:12:02 EDT, you write: << < Hello, > Well, that is an interesting question.
