The main characters are both strong human beings, but they dabble in the occult; they're both urban fantasies; there are sexy french vampire with the hots for both female characters; there both fundamentaly mystery stories. For all you Di Tregard book fans who want to see more, these books are basically the same, and I know I enjoyed both. Besides, who couldnt like a book about a woman who collects penguin parafanelia?! (Anita Blake) I wonder who copied who...? Any more books that are like Misty's? So, if everyone will forgive me, I'm just gonna summarize what everyone's said. Okay, most everyone has aggreed we'd like a book or at least a story about Valdemar's origins. Windrider, Sunsinger & Shadowdancer as well as the Web were specifically mentioned. I think this would make either a really great book or a great collection of short stories depending on which way Misty wanted to go. At this point I'd be happy with either. Besides Sunsinger & Shadowdancer my next favorite choices for alternate books would be the other Elspeths in Valdemar's history, Selenay's Dad's reign, and if you really want to go out on a limb, what about what how the Kaled'a'in came to be? Oh, and for a short story, I'm just dying to know the whole story of where the Hertasi came from! Last note, I would be eternally greatful if anyone to send me a list of all the current Gods,Goddesses, and Orders. The only book I really really really liked in the Selenay timeline was Winds Triology (First read, but LHM kicked more arse!!) Because, Elspeth was running around knocking Skif on his arse, throwing pots and chairs at ppl AND KICKING ARSE!!!! Darkwind was avoiding thieves, fighting his Da, talking w/ Gryphons and KICKING ARSE!!! What do they do now? Be sugary sweet life bonded while being boring as heck envoys!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!! We never see/hear Vree anymore!! His only mention in SBreaking was where he was and when he mantled wings. I MISS THE LITTLE FEATHERHEAD!!!! *sniffs* I want more of Darkwind and Elspeth kicking arse not sitting in a room giving advice to Tremane!!! And of course one can never go wrong with Gryphons and HawkBrothers, (Misty should write some more books with them) The seperated ppl travelling to Iftel would be cool. I guess I didnt explain myself too well on my "Big Braid on Art, Karal, and some Complaints" so I thought I'd better explain myself a little better. Secondly, I too wear purple nail polish, so I'm aloud to say stuff like that, especially when the person wearing it is Karal. I do believe that in Valdemar, Karse, and the surrounding countries there WAS no purple nail polish, and therefore Karal can not wear any. He is bowing to two Companions who are Purple (there we go again!) and High Priest Solairs comming through a Gate. By the way, it IS High PRIEST Solaris, not High Priestess Solaris. :) I believe that was pointed out in SB. Or somewhere. That was definatly not a flame. It wasnt even a spark. It wasnt even HOT. I'm just trying to clear up any mistakes I made in my Big Braid. I was sick, and therefore not thinking too clearly, and I'm sick now too, and if this dosent make sense, thats why.
