He was open to the changes that occurred with the Lairs. He also was open to Shana's suggestions about going to find the Iron People. In fact he went on the journey. He is wise, but he is also open-minded. Lashana is not softer than Kero. She is a little immaturer because she is younger. Kero was just as a immature when she was at Shana's age. I mean she would not even work with the prince when she was in training in BTS because he acted arrogant. I think that Shana will grow out of that with time. Shana is just as tough. She endured the Iron people and all that happened to her in both the Lair and when held captive by the Eleves. Heartsong reaches up and scratches Chenci's head. Then Woosa pushes her out of the way and brings Chenci down on his arm. He then feeds him some tasty tidbits and begins to preen his feathers with a special comb. Then he places Chenci on Heartsong's shoulder and scolds, "You should be kinder and feed the poor soul before babbling on." Heartsong turned her nose at him and apologized to Chenci. Then she turned to stare at Makana and Freedom as fir blazed up around the two and light burst out. When all settled, Makana stood next to her new bonded who no longer looked like a mess but what in stark black lite leather outfit with mail that was so fine that it did not way the wearer down and could barely be seen. Makana looked her up and down and grinned. :Well my magic has not failed me yet. Now we that we are bonded you must be as well equipped as me and just a stunning: Heartsong did not know what she was referring too until she saw Freedom's head. Her hair was long and brilliant fire red again and there was a single silver band with a stone that swirled in an eternal fire. Makana looked at the two stunned girls.:Well Freedom, I am a mage among other things and that stone gives you minimal mage powers too. I like my bonded to be my equal in most things: Heartsong laughed as she saw Apache Tear knod her head in agreement and SKyDancer grinned too. That one has been bugging me a lot, so I'm very appreciative. :) I never even thought of that, and I believe that you're right and they specifically say the *Collegium* doesn't have servants. Ok, now I have another one for anyone. Do we ever find out when they gave the trainees for the various posts uniforms? In MPawn, when Vanyel first joins classes, he has no way to tell which trainees are Bardic, Heraldic, or Healers, or what we come to call Blues later on, because they don't have uniforms. However, as we all know, in Arrows and the following books, there are uniforms. Not a big deal or anything, of course, there's a lot of time in between the two books when they could have instated the practice of wearing uniforms... I was just wondering. Well, I know I'm a little biased, (I LOVE ELVES! Can't be helped. (: ) but your best bet after Valdemar is the elf series. These consist of the Urban Fantasies and the SERRAted Edge series. I can't remember who wanted the list of these books, but I'll put this out for anyone who wants it. Both of these series have co-authors. The wood feels warm and soft in Stasia's hand.Elsa smiles at her and then makes her way over to a knot of newbies.
