Being unable to find my way to a computer with internet access for three days, I find myself swamped with mail, so I will respond to what I can! Someone(Sorry, whoever you are) mentioned FX, and wondered just what he was. He is a kitsune,a JApanese fox-spirit. He is a highly enjoyable character! FX appears in the SERRAted Edge books, which I found to very good reads. They are urban fantasy, I guess. Also, has anyone happened upon a little book called Sword of Ice? Those who read the Last Herald Mage will recognize this name as beloning to a particular adept friend of Savil. It is an anthology of stories by various authors set in Valdemar and the surronding environs. I stumbled upon it quite by accident. There has been much talk of two authors whom I love lately. One being Elizabeth Moon. Those of you who have not as of yet attempted her books, please sign off and get yourself to a library or bookstore. The other being Michael Moorcock. Moorcock is amazing, and I will continue to say that even though I receive endless mocking from my dear friends. Skywolf mentioned the Eternal Champion, wondering if the reincarnation thing was hard to follow. Nope. It is not really stressed as reincarnation. Each character is a separate character and is easily treated thus. They are just aspects of the being called the Eternal Champion, and often make guest appearances in eachothers books. Elric, Corum, HAwkmoon, and all those who dwell at the End of Time are my personal favorites. Yvonne mentioned Emma Bull's War for the Oaks. Being a lover of Irish/Celtic myth (hence the Pooka) I found that book amazing, though her Pooka is more mature and pleasant then the one I am cursed with! Another good read. Another book of hers titled Falcon is also very good. It is sci fi, not really fantasy. Someone (Sorry again. Too much mail...) Wondered what books Tannim appeared in. He is in the same series as FX. Please, read the SERRAted Edge. Very Good... Shadowspun wondered what Jenova was. Play FFVII. She is kinda the evil creature/presence that causes no end of trouble throughout the games three discs. I love that game:) FLUFF.................................FLUFF................................... ...........FLUFF............. April gazed at the ring Etain had given her and her face split with a bright smile. All annoyance over her Pooka faded and she hugged her dagon charge. "I made a friend!" She laughed. April felt a sting and glanced at a pack of sheep-riding Brownies madly waving sharp spears. She glanced down at the neat slice in her pale brown pants. "Ouch." Her ever hungry dragonlet took it upon herself to slopilly (Sp?) lick the tiny wound, and smile brightly at her friend. :All better: Alarmed at the sound of a childish voice in her head that was definately not the Pooka, April stared at the dragon. "You.....?" :Mama. :No!: April howled desperately. :Pooka! She's yours, please come get her!!!: No answer greeted her plea. But the dragon decided to try another phrase. :Windracer.: The dragon tilted her still pudgy head. :Windracer!!!: :Is that your name?: April inquired tiredly. :Windracer, Mama. Name is Windracer!: :Thats nice.: :Mama?: :Don't call me that.: :Mama? I hungry.: :Go eat a Pooka. or some of those brownies.: :Sheep, Mama? Sheep for Windracer? Hummus?: :Bright Lady!!!!!!!: Sorry all! May you never want of sheep or hummus, and may a Pooka never find it's way to your home! But then that would make us humans, aliens too! After all, we all read books that are set in different worlds, times or places; that would make them alien to us. They just don't happen to look like some slimmy thing out of the movies. ********************Fluff********************************** Cailet stands in the center of the Hall admiring all the amazing gifts from her new sibs. She smiles as she tucks the blue flower with blood red shot though into her long blond hair and thanks Yvonne for the beautiful gift. She adorns her flower jewelry from Heartsong letting its glorious scent envelope her while she feels the faint power surging in it. Looking at the invisible cap she thinks you never now when this will come in handy, especially when a newbie enters the Hall! Thank you Heartsong. Cailet knows she will always treasure her green dragon balloon for it is one of her favorite creatures. Thank you Elsa. "I wonder what I can give you dearhearts and all of the other sibs in the Hall? I have It!!" Cailet smoothes her dark purple velvet dress back into place and closes her eyes concentrating. In the south west corner of the Hall a small iridescent mage globe appears. It spins in a small circle growing larger and larger while it changes in to every color in the rainbow. Suddenly it stops! It is the size of a small room and is almost an incandescent white. Then it flashes into millions of little sparkles. As the sparkles dissolve and everyone's as adjust from the flash, a small court yard appears containing all types of beautiful flowers and trees. Coming out of the corner of the court yard is a small waterfall that flows down in to a little pond full of goldfish. "Enjoy my siblings. I will tend my garden and show you new wonders from time to time. Let this be your place of tranquillity on those hectic days we all have from time to time." And with a sigh Cailet enters her garden and relaxes on a little bench in the shade. *****************End Fluff************************ Hope no one is offended by my small addition. She lounges about, while Apache Tear supports her and Ember warms her. SkyDancer basks in the sun and Chenci sleeps. They await to hear the result of GoldDust. She then hears the baby dragon of April's and so she flicks her wrists and a whole pile of mutton appears in front of the little one. Then she conjours up a ornate green quilt with Celtic ruins that ward off Pookas and protects from roaming brownies. She places this over April and minsends:Congratulation ring barer. I have Irish in my blood too and know what it must be like. Accept this gift. I think it will help. Also if you would like SkyDancer can play nursemaid sometime to your little friend if you would like freedom for awhile. Oh and I almost forgot. Heartsong sends her a brand new copy of MPawn and bespells it so that only April can pick it up. Finally, Heartsong remembers Caliet's gift, sends thanks and also a little friend. Heartsong appears next to Caliet and opens her hands up. Inside is a silver dragon with purple eyes and a purple hue. It tail wraps around her arm and it wings spread as wide as ones shoulder. It looks up at Caliet and smiles. Then it mindsends: You are pretty Caliet. Can I be with you. Caliet looks in vexation. Heartsong replies,"This is a worba. They are like bomd birds I guess. They are very poplular on my world as companion. This one was given to me by an old friend, but I have no use for her. I heard you like dragons and I wondred if you could take her for me. I think the purple would match you bettter. I prefer blue silk to match my eyes. She also has magical abilities and makes a heck of a security guard.
