I mean, if we don't sing their praises, then who will?? As I'm reading about the fluff warnings, I am of two minds about this. One, that yes, sometimes it is hard to keep up with all of the mail but two, that it's the mail that draws us al;l together and makes it an easier and more friendly place to be. UnSung Heros Stuff!!!!! Amberdrake! God of the Massage! Give me one please!!!! Amberdrake has always been my favorite character of all of the Velgarth books. Why? Because he's just Amberdrake. There's several reasons in which I like him but for the life of me, at this point in my four hour stretch on the computer I just can't seem to articulate it. I also love Geston (sp?) as well. He's just so full of sassy humor it gets me in stitches whenever I read The Black Gryphon. Oh! In just remembering, people were talking a while back about the number of people the listsibs have been able to convert, my total is up to three, and I'm working on the fourth ( my best friend). now, here's my question pertaining to an Unsung Hero: What happened to Geston after the Black Gryphon?? Is he mentioned in the other books at all?? (unfortunently all of Skywolf's mage war books are inconveniently at John's house). ALSO: I'm sorry I forgot your name (hasty delete finger *g*) but who was it that said the Lavan Firestorm book was called Brightly Burning and how did you get the info on it!!! I've been looking, but I'm just not finding anything. --------(small fluff I promise!!)--------- Skywolf paused in the middle of the turn-about she was doing with her friend & dance partner Rob. She thought she heard something and for the life of her she thought it sounded like a voice calling to her from the Hall of Mist! **"I know you were lonely in the Hall, but I think the Mists must be more lonely. We would love for you to rejoin us. I don't have a gypsy amulet for you, per say, but what I have will serve the same purpose, and I hope it will make you realize how much we all want you in the Hall." **** There!! There itnwas again!! She stopped dead in the center of the dance hall and smiled. She patted Rob on the cheek and said, " I'll be back later, darling." She made her way back to the Hall, slowly, enjoying the coolness of the mist. At her side trotted Misha, back into her wolf form, happy to be back. Suddenly, something flew out of the Mists and headed straight at Skywolf! She tried to duck but the silve streak paused in front of her. . **"This ring will show you the love of all in the Hall, and I hope it makes you happier."**** With wondering eyes Skywolf beheld the friendship ring. "Oooohhh, Misha! I'm so glad to be back!!!" she said with shining eyes. ------------------------------ Thanx Kati! Sorry I'm a little late, I've been bogged down with SAT stuff, school stuff, sports stuff and eiky accutain stuff (BIG shudder). I'm still around and about, danna worry. And OK OK already!!! So I'm a little nuts! 53 chapters - 53 books; hey, same difference, right? He did so much and recieved little thanks from his patients in return. I always thaought he was a little overworked. It was too bad his lineage was not seen in later books after tha MageWars. I still like Kris alot. I do not think he should have ever died. He helped Talia thru so much. He would have kicked butt in the later books and I would have liked to have seen who he would eventually have of coupled up with. I think him and Kero would have done well together if she did not have Eldan. Does anyone else agree? Thank you for the horn Seashimmer. I think it is a very swwet gesture, but you did notr have to do it. I am just happy to see you two worked out. With that Heartsong returned to the Waterfall and curled up between her love birds cats, use them as back supports and read MPawn for the tenth time. Lifebonds. I was thinking of those the other night when I realized I also had one. I discovered this when I was having a really bad day for no reason and having a horrible feeling my boyfriend was having a bad day at his new job. Then found out that my love was having the most disappointing, sad day at his new job. He rarely ever gets that upset and I thought it was interesting that I "knew" without realizing it. After I realized that many other things made sense. And yes, you can easily ruin yourself and the other person by doing stupid things, but I guess our bond is a strong one and things are still great after 5 years. We balance eachother oddly well. So I guess Lifebonds are not farfetched. I finally got Fiddler Fair and Oathblood. Out of the two Oathblood was my favorite. I was thrilled at getting to read about Tarma and Kethry's school and Kethry's kids. I read and finished Oathblood on Sunday and am almost done with Fiddler Fair. I'm also planning on venturing out of the Valdemar and Alanda realms and into other series' of Misty's, but I don't know where to start. Sigh. Ok, this will be the last of fluff that I do (and just when I was getting into it). *****************FLUFF (sniff)*************************************** -- Then Cailet turns to her garden to find so many of her sibs enjoying the peace that it brings. Message-ID: I was rereading By the Sword, and I came across a section that reminded me of a deep discussion that lasted many days. I have no idea when it ended, but it was long. It was about the web of guardian Vrondi Van set up, what it did, and how it was mentioned in different books. Someone had mentioned Keth, and wondered why she was not affected when she entered Valdemar. She was. And so was Kero's uncle Jendar. Text! pg 183, By the Sword. Keth-"And the one time I was in Valdemar was enough for me,"she replied. "I'm glad I wsa just barely across the border. Have you ever been there?" (Jendar)He shivered. "Once, like you, just barely across the border. I kept feeling eyes on the back of my neck, but when I'd try to find out what was watching me, I could never find anything. I got the feeling that whatever it ws, it was very unfriendlyand I had no intention of staying around to find out what it ws and why it felt that way." "It gets worse if you work any magic." Well, I have no idea if anyone is even interested in that topic anymore, but I am pretty proud of myself for finding something even remotely relevant. I am home, with my beloved books, and the discussion took place when I was unable to get to them, so here is my belated two cents worth! Wind to thy wings! April for once, alone. "Stick to sheep. Sorry, I've been sick for a few days, but I stayed home today and hopefully will be better soon. I should have stayed home Friday (I couldn't swallow my throat was so swollen) but I couldn't miss the Student Gov. Election, especially since I was part of a campaign team. *sigh* But Deena--my friend the candidate--lost again this year, and won't run next time. Well, I haven't read any thing new by Misty, and I suppose you guys probably aren't interested in the brain-candy romance romans that I am reading. Children of the Night (zat right?) is somewhere in my room, buried under all my junk, but I'm not sure I want to read it. Meanwhile, Kory is beckoning to me from my shelf. *sigh* (I always did have a soft spot for blond hair and pointed ears!^_^) Enough about me. <> Bye bye, Etain! You're probably not ever gonna read this, but we'll miss you and look forward to your hopeful return. You'll notice that the outside world and NOT FLUFF was the cause for this listsib slipping off into the Mists for a while. I have to say, I am strongly in support of fluff. It's fun, it's a way to get to know everyone, and it's sort of unique, in my view. Then again, this is only the second list I've ever been on. On the VFC ML, we don't formally play out a character, even though it is the chat list. As an ardent role player of AD&D (not roll-player), I find it highly entertaining, and as a hopeful writer, I relish the chance to flex my literary muscles, so to speak. I for one would leave the list if the Fluff stopped, and that's not just the medication talking!! Okay, okay, so maybe I wouldn't leave the list. But I'm not going to stop posting fluff! Cut down, sure. However, when fluff is outlawed, only the outlaws will have fluff. And I've always been considered a wildcard anyway. Stagnation is not my idea of fun, and that's what this list is supposed to be!! FUN!! Do we really need Fluff? Well, we can live without it. But that would be kinda boring, don't you think? Fluff adds color, life!! I have a very boring life what with school and all, and this helps liven things up! You will notice that there is no official fluff in this letter. My life is fluff-esque anyway, since it's not to important to the rest of you (no, no, I'm not hurt...*snif*). This letter is long enough as it is. Potato & Elsa Member of M.I.T.H.
