I mean, a person (and if this is a Herald, the possible taravelling Companion) is a lot biggert than, say, a sqirril, not to mention that the experiance of being Fetched or Fetching yourself might be so strange that you forget where you're going...which could be disasterous, messy, or both. << I'm not sure about Vanyel whistling. It seems far too...carefree. That isn't a word I'd use to describe Vanyel. And Firesong? Well, whistling isn't exactly...dignified. Being a bit of a snob, I don't see him as whistling, either. Now, Dirk-Dirk would whistle.>> Your right, of course. I can't se Van or Firesong whistling, but Dirk definately. He was just that kind of person. And of course, Skif (the one in Arrows, before he got all grown up in Winds and I stopped liking him {yes, I'm fickle}) Skif would whistle "innocently". <> Sorry. Didn't I say I'm paranoid? <> More like judges, I think. Or a jury. Just a thought. I liked Skif when he was younger. I can think of all sorts of things he might have done. I wish Misty had a few more characters like him. <> gee, I read Sacrd Ground long before I read any Tregarde, so my memories were a bit fuzzy. I don't think I really saw Di as whining. More like a little overwhelmed by her responsibilities and sort of dwelling on them in awe, as in:"Wow. I have magical powers and my purpose is to help people. Isn't this neat." ~~~~SMALL FLUFF~~~~ From her seat on the exercise bicycle (which sprays more water on you the faster you go), Elsa waves to all the newbies and tosse them slightly damp cotton candy sheep of all colors, who can each "Baaa" the theme to Shaft. She rears her bike up and rides it across the Hall to toss flower necklaces around the necks of departing Listees. "I'd hug you but you'd be soaked!" She cries. ~~~~END FLUFF~~~~ Elsa Knight of Fluff OoUH Champion of Jonne and Moonbeam Member of the Order of Drifting Ashes caller of monsters "Well, just for that I'm going to unleash the most hideous mechanism of mindless brutality ever assembled!" -Bad Bird (don't call him Bird Brain) All moons, all years, all days, all winds Take their course and pass away. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Jul 1998 15:14:17 EDT From: AprilS81-+AT+-aol.com To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Quick Question... I am on my computer maybe once in every three weeks now, so this may take a while, even though I'm not responding to any threads. To all the newbies out there, I am Dreamfire(AKA Melanie). For the help I so desperatly need, can someone please tell me how to unsubscribe for the summer? Please don't mail me at this address, but at . Ok, I don't remember exactly what I said I was going to read over the summer, but here s. I bought The Free Bards and read all three, plus I got CoC out of the library, and I loved them all. I read Firebird, and got the original story out of the library. Misty doesn't follow it *too* closely, but that's good because I didn't like the real fairy tale much anyway. I actually finished Melanie Rawn's Dragon Prince trilogy, and am in the middle of the Dragon Star trilogy now. They're really good books. I started Piers Anthony's Isle of Woman, which is also good. I hated Guy Gavriel Kay's Fionavar(sp?) Tapestry trilogy, but some of you might like it. Next thing. Does anyone know if there are more Alanda books after EaN? I really like them and so does my mother which surprised me *and* her, because she hates Misty("I know, I know," I'm thinking, as gasps of horror run through the assembled crowd). Any way, I really need to know how to get off the list because the 300 messages I have now have almost crashed my computer. == Zhai'helleva, Dreamfire ************************************************************ Reality is only for those with no imagination. ************************************************************ _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
