Me, personally.... although I haven't read the FireRose, so I wouldn't know... I would say either Elvenbane or possibly LHM. Those are my personal choices, since those are what got me hooked, but everyone has their own preferences when it comes to reading. Has anyone out there read any books by Storm Constantine? I made it through the whole Wraeththu trilogy a couple years ago, and my sister just recently handed me a book by them on vampires, although I haven't really had a chance to read it much, I got into it fairly easily. I was wondering if anyone knows of other books they've written? OBMisty... beyond Valdemar books, what do all of you think is Misty's best book? I have also read Elvenbane, Elvenblood, and Firebird... otherwise all I know is about Valdemar, and I'd like to get into some of her other books. Just for me personally, I'm beginning to get a little bored with the Valdemar books... I got the 2nd book of the Storm trilogy but only made it about halfway through... and I bought Owlflight but I haven't been able to find any desire to read past 50 pages or so. I'd appreciate any suggestions... even other books Misty has collaborated with people... I did like Elvenbane a lot. You know how they have "The Last Herald Mage Trilogy", "Kerowyn's Tale" "Vows and Honor"...whatever. What are the Owl books being called? And is the order Owlsight; Owlflight; Owlnight or not? Are those even the right titles? Oh my...the things a cold does to a person's brain... someone (sorry! The Delete Finger of Doom strikes once again) asked what books to start someone on. I haven't read anything besides her Valdemar books, but I would reccomend them in chrono. order, starting with the LHM. I know a lot of you don't agree with that, but I honestly don't think I would have kept reading if I read the Arrows trilogy first. I mean, they were good, but LHM is the top of her writing, IMHO. Sorry for the lack of depth in this. Look, no fluff! Windy ------------------------------ End of MERCEDES-LACKEY Digest 1791 **********************************
