I have just completed the 4 books in the Serrated Edge series...and I wanted know if there is a 5th book...perhaps one is in works....or one is out.... If not another book in the series..is there another series that has Tannim and Shar in it??? I know that Tannim has made a brief appearance in another series....but I would like to know more bout Shar....does anyone know if she is in any other books?? My main wonder was that Rolan (who is grove-born, so this should make him special) says (in Storm Rising) that all the Companions can speak to anyone they choose to it's just that it takes a lot of effort. That's why I wondered how Sayvil could do it all the time, although she is (obviously) not a grove-born Companion. Does she not mind the effort or is it because she is/was a mage? -- Paige proud to be Outlandish (to e-mail double the p and take out the "reston") ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Nov 1998 11:27:23 -0800 From: "L. Anyway, greetings >to all, and have a nice day! > >Zhai'helleva >Starspirit~** Well, the friend who got me started with all of this had me read the Last Herald-Mage books first, and I wasn't overly confused. Of course, by sheer luck, the first "time of Seleny" book I read happened to be Arrows of the Queen, so I was lucky. I think that the key thing to do is to make sure that you read the books in a given bit of the timeline in order, and not to worry too much about the order other than that. -L.J. Thompson (Sorry I don't have an interesting name, I haven't thought of one yet!) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Nov 1998 20:16:01 -0600 From: "Tim & Tiffanie" To: "Misty List" Subject: REALLY old braid Message-ID: <00d001be18e2$b644f2c0$8eb6bfa8-+AT+-tiffanie> Hey all! hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving if you have it, and a great day if you don't. ******************** Lost in the mists of time: <> There are several dice simulation programs on the net for free. Just track down one of the RPG games (the GURPS Homepage Character Assistant has a link to one, if I remember correctly. ************************ Paksenarian rules! I hated her wimpy stage, but she got better! There is also Liar's Oath which is about their patron diety. ********************** Another lost attribution: I think a Healer could do many more things than they do. It seems to be limited by imagination (of the healer). We have an example of fetching being used to fetch people in Arrows, things that had never been tried before. So if the healer imagined that they wanted to change someone genetically, they don't have to know about genetics, they just have to imagine the effect. Now there does seem to be some skill involved. Falconsbane practiced on his daughter before changing himself. (Which leads me to believe that Krebain was actually, Leareth's son, as he had many cat-like changes made to him) But, Healers don't have to know about red-blood cells and cellular damage to heal, they just have to know that they want things put back together and the healing talent does it itself. ****************************** David asked: >1 a hawk-brother phrase list. If anyone has created one I would be interested. There is a page that has many of the phrases/words, I have a link on my website (I'm too lazy to go look up the actual page). Go to http://homepages.infoseek.com/~dakorillon/dakorillon.html then go to Herald's Hall after you get to Grayhaven, then go to the Misty pages, the link can be found there. ****************************** Mike: >I have just completed the 4 books in the Serrated Edge series...and I wanted know if there is a 5th book...perhaps one is in works....or one is out....< Well, unfortunatly there are only the 4 at present, although there are the Urban Fantasy books: Summoned to Toourney, Knight of Ghost and Shadows and Bedlam Boyz (by/with Ellen Guon), which are in the same universe and actually has events which are mentioned in the other books (such as the west coast elves moving). Which are also great. There is rumored to be another coming out called "Tempest Fugit" and although there is an album by that name, we have yet to see the book. No, there are no other books with Shara in them. *pout* ******************************* Bright Skies, Dax the Eternal, Goddess of Elves and Unicorns, Knight of Fluff, Evangelist of Low Humor, Councilor of Mist, Mistic Watcher of Continuity Homepage: http://homepages.infoseek.com/~dakorillon/dakorillon.html NewbieFest: http://www.ling.udel.edu/hyde/pers/misty/newbiefest.html ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Nov 1998 19:48:28 +1300 From: Sheridan Hoy To: "'mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk'" Subject: RE: Mindspeaking Message-ID: <01BE197B.0F41E0C0-+AT+-port46.ts2.auck.sinesurf.co.nz> ------ =_NextPart_000_01BE197B.0F5A4AC0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I don't think ability has anything to do with it.
