(We've been spoilt with unseasonably warm December temperatures up here in Edmonton, and now it's gone down to normal and I'm freezing!) *hands out a few blue candy-cane flavored sheep* I knwo they're early, but what the hey! > Marcus! I remember him. ~sniff~ He died for Ivonnova you know. That was > how much her loved her. (Waaaaaaaah!!!!! sniff, sniff, sob!)I miss him > being on Babylon 5. > I guess he could play Van. Not in MPawn though. MPromise and MPrice > would work all right. Maybe. Oh Sorana!! Not him!! *piffs her friend for good measure with a handy-dandy snowball* Marcus is too 'rugged' for Vanyel! I always pictured our doomed Herald-Mage as more refined looking - no suggestions, tho. I'm not a major movie star fan and so know next to NO ONE. Although I think Seth Green would make a good young Skif. Julia Grey cast: > Alberich: Okay, how about Patrick Stewart? > Antonio Banderas as Darkwind? Patrick Steward doesn't seem scary enough for Alberic - at least to me. Although I fully support Antonio Banderas for Darkwind! A sleepy Zephyr wrote: > Also, Diana Tregarde seems to be tired for most > of the book of Burning Water as well. Another pooped hero would have to be Tannim. In Chrome Circle I thought he sounded exausted! Although that may b due to all the anti-hystamines - they tend to make you drousy (SP?!) and the 'day time' ones will make you stay uo awake for forever and a night! Flamedancer introduced herself ... *From out behind a potted plant springs (No, Sorana, no assassins!) ~Yvonne~ with an Enchanted Bucket (tm)!* ~~~SPLOSH~~~ *Firedancer is immediatly drencheed in seawater as Yvonne prances off giggling* Welcome to the MLML!! If you ask around there should be someone with a towel to offer ... Any questions that aren't answered in the Newbiefest - *realizes her post-it note is gone again and so steals the addy from Wintershard's sig* http://www.ling.udel.edu/hyde/pers/misty/newbiefest.html - ask a Councilor - like Wintershard. ;P And just for Fluffiness' sake, here's something you'll all really wanna know (in other words, it's completely irrelevant) I got the penguin from Wallace & Gromit's 'The Wrong Trousers'! It's a key chain and is minus the disguising rubber glove but ... ;P 'After Eight' flavored sheep to go with all the candy cane flavored ones! Message-ID: <367B2BCF.598F-+AT+-southwind.net> Heyla listsibs, This is going to be a short and fluffy post so I apologize in advance My thoughts on the possible/dream cast of some Misty characters Mornelithe Falconsbane--Gary Oldman...I love him as the bad guy Andesha--Benjamin Bratt..just a really good actor who sort of has the "look" I associate with the Tayldras/Shin'a'in I always saw these characters as being like the Beast in Beauty and the Beast. The actors would not have to look alike because Falconsbane had changed the body completely and I always theought that would include the voice so the actors could be anyone Savil-Vanessa Redgrave simply because I love her acting and she definitely has that majestic quality Elspeth-Parker Posey--she can be so snotty you want to deck her or so sensitive you want to hug her--definitely Elspeth to me Those are really the only ones I can think of at the moment. I'm an old Misty fan (having discovered her work some seven years ago) but new to the Web (my friends having finaly convinced me that e-mail is a must) I have read just about every Lackey book ever published and I'm looking forward to discussing them with others who love her work. By the way, someone asked what the next book is and correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's "Owlknight" anyways im sure I'll hear more from you all, Eva _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? I think Kyle MacLachlan would make a great Vanyel....If he acted as he did in Blue Velvet. (for those of you who haven't seen Blue Velvet, if graphic /sexual violence doesn't scare you away, you should rent it.....it's one of the most bizarre, and strangely fascinating movies I've ever watched.) He may be growing too old for the part now, but KM in his younger years is what Vanyel would look like to me. (I've always had a mild crush on him....) To whomever mentioned Exhaustion (bad delete finger, bad!!), I too feel tired after reading about it, especially in "By the Sword." Maybe Misty herself was tired....it's said that a person writes best about what they have truly experienced....I dunno, I'm too sleepy to say if that really makes sense or not.....(yawn) Hot Chocolate with sheep shaped marshmallows for all..... He'd get recharged, then lose it in the next > ten minutes, it seemed. Aye! it seemed to me that the LHM books each had a prevailing theme...or emotion. these are the only books i have felt this w/. MPawn was pain...physical/emotional/...everything. and MPromise was exhaustion. tired of life, tired physcially and emotionally. and MPrice seemed to finally be happiness/peace/etc. as good as the first two are....its very hard on me to reread them. [i do occasionally] becuase i get bogged down w/ the pain and exhaustion etc. tho MPrice seems easier to read because there isnt so much....trauma i guess you can say. yes there is trauma! but it doesnt premate(sp?) the whole book...or at least not for me. ok...going back to lurking now *gryn* God bless and keep you!!
