Now, I think he's a little too butch for the job, at least in face. I could see him possibly as an extra Herald, perhaps. Maybe as Mero when Talia was younger? *g* The book that I would like to see the most as a movie would have to be Black Gryphon. With that, you could use the graphic abilities of George Lucas for the non-humans, and (at least BG) has good armed forces scenes with lots of magic flailing around, and a quiet scene to start, and a big bang to finish :). --- Shadowdreamer wrote: >>I'm kinda wondering how Urtho made the gryphons in the first place.<< So am I :). While I enjoyed the Gryphon series (have yet to read SG) as it was, I would have liked to have seen the world prior to the big bang with all of its magics and so forth :). We've had a lot to do with kingdoms that hardly use any magic (in comparison). It would be interesting to see a kingdom in that world that has it as such an integral part of their society :). Plus Urtho was neat *grin*. --- Selene asked about Firebird :). In my mind, the universe of the Firebird and that of Chrome Circle are a tad bit off from one another. That's the only way that I can explain her short note of it in CC being different than the long story ;). As for where she got it, I would think that she saw parts of what the story was (I've got a russian folk tale book as well :), and wanted to expand or change things here and there :). In the tale that I read, the brothers weren't that bad at all, but Misty favors having the hero/ine having family problems, and so she changed them around some... also in making the wolf into a fox... in the one that I read, the wolf allowed the prince to ride on him as if it were a horse... Misty enjoys making her characters walk *g*. (Yeah, I know, poor, but still *g*). --- M'rr wrote: >>I mus say I personaly enjoyed the Owl books, but then I just enjoy reading period (I've been grounded only from that twice *grynz*).<< Can always tell that someone loves reading if it causes their parents to consider it for grounding purposes *laugh*. When I was younger, that's about all that we had to do when we got grounded, but the books that we had were more adult books... very thick, hard cover, boring topics... we would mope around instead *grin*. --- IceMaiden asked: >>anyways, one day while browsing, i found the two tarma and kethry books bound in one!!! <> i KNOW somebody has asked this before, but i can't remember...does anyone know if they are still alive at the end of the winds trilogy???...<< I believe that there is a part in one of the Winds books when Elspeth is greeted by one of the Shin'a'in spirits that we've decided is Tarma, but aren't sure as when they exactly died..There is another book, By The Sword, that has T&K in it, as more or less minor characters :). It's about Kero, Kethry's granddaughter. It fits in between the Oath books and the Winds :). --- *Wintershard sends to Amy a few hertasi and her favorite main character to read to her her favorite scenes* No need to worry about venting here :). We mind not being able to help in any way that we can :). What is so neat about the Misty List :). He's got that refined, beautiful look to him. And :manages to look manly in lace. heh... what a way to put it... but yeah... ;) :Oh, just my attempt at vague humor. I know he's dead. Still, if that :middle B. stands for Balthazar, I may never recover. hoo boy, you're never gonna recover... ;p :Hudson Lieck? I don't know, I never could picture her as Kero. Granted, :I only saw one episode with her and that was a while back, but... Ok now, Hudson is wa-aay too psycho to play Kero. I mean, ok, she's blonde, wields a sword, and wears armour, but that's the only thing kero-ish about her... I don't know.... I never liked Antonio Banderas.... especially after he screwed up Armand in Interview with the Vampire... and I can't think of anyone in Velgarth even vaguely looking like he would... :now, le drool. Now there's a Tylendel. But I think he's a tad old by :this time. eh? who's too old? Brandis? nah...he's not too old. Van said 'Lendel always looked older than his age. which allowed him to keep his head (among other things *wg*) with Tashir... :Kate Winslet would do a good Elspeth, I think, if she were a little less :pretty. hmm, that would be her minus the make-up... :) :I could see Ares as Ancar. but he's a bit too muscular for ancar, don't you think? :Kero would be a challenge... Meryl Streep/Glen Close could do an older :Kero I think... Well, how would you expect Hudson Lieck to age into Meryl Streep? And no... not after Death becomes Her. *shudders* they would be great as aging villains (Hulda! Hulda!) but not as Kero... :And what the hell? Eldan: Jason Carter. He's more or less got the eh? I don't see him as eldan. heck, i can't imagine anyone as eldan... :Alberich: Sean Connery. He's older, has an accent, and can do both :Imposing and Sensitive nicely. Yes! this, i agree with... Hey... Karsites with a scottish-american accent? :Daren: Maybe Val Kilmer, maybe Patrick Swayze? Dunno here. He needs one :of those clean-cut, square-jawed, classic American boys. Bruce :Boxleitner? eeheehee... Brad Pitt! ;D now there's a "young" Daren for ya... can't see him as father to grown up Elspeth. :Nyara: Michelle Pfeiffer has the felinity pretty much down, and can ooze :sex if necessary. you're thinking of Catwoman, aren't you? :Moondance: Christopher Lambert, who learned his Old Man On The Mountain him? nah... :Leareth: Antonio Banderas? how about Lorenzo Lamas (how do you spell his last name?) That Renegade guy...? :Cary Elwes, but only if he grows his hair out a little, Westley-style. you know... i can see him as Skif... like his stint in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, minus the Brit accent. :Harrison Ford, who may be a little too much for any part in Velgarth, :and tends to get typecast. :Mark Hamill. Okay, he doesn't have much of a career any more, but he's :good. have you been watching star wars? Harrison Ford... maybe Rubrick (sp?).. Natoli's dad.. (I'm wicked) or how about... Wren? Mark Hamill... eh... um... hmm. Mardic? nah... can't see _him_ anywhere either. yeps, that's it. Candy cane sheep for ya!
