I watched it regularly until whichever station that was--the Family 
Channel, I think--stopped showing it. Great show.

Hitchcock is Lt. Commander (and later on Commander, I think) Katherine 
(Katie) Hitchcock. First season, Ben Krieg's ex-wife, Chief Engineer, HR 
probe person, the first seaQuest crew member to be on the recieving end 
of one of Lucas's infatuations. Short dark hair, blue eyes. I forget the 
name of the actress.

Dr. Westphalen is Dr. Kristin Westphalen, played by Stephanie Beacham. 
Head of Science and Research. ("She's very committed." "She oughta be 
committed!") Chestnut hair, British accent. Captain Bridger's 
pseudo-love-interest.

              Lady astreia i'm about as dying for the starwars movies
          to come out as you can get and I think the friend of Luke's that
          you're talking about was call bigs is that the one that died in
          the movie?
              LJ thompson thanks for the storm book whatever. I'll
          probably read the last one anyway just because I've dragged
          myself through the first two.
              I probably will not have much time to poast again till
          spring break does any one know when that is? I really don't want
          to start school again. It's been soooooo!!!!! much fun to be

    A raptorial shadow glides across the Halls of Mist as the wind-born hawk slowly
dissengages her lurk mode. The great coppery-bronze hawk settles in a sunny patch
atop the fountain in a torrent of backwinging. Small fluffs of down dance in the
light; defying gravity, as feathers are meant to do.  :Greetings list-sibs! My
nomadic tendencies have kicked in with a vengeance, so next week I'll be taking the
rather long flight to England. I was just wondering if anyone on the list from the
U.K. (Kalen?) would like to recommend any favourite pubs, B&B's, or points of

Gatwick on the 8th, staying in London for a few days, then taking the train north to
Liverpool, then into N. Wales for a few days, then back down to Gatwick to leave on

    I do not have a problem!!!!! <twitch, twitch> I'm only on my second pot of
coffee....heh,heh....Amaretto, mmmmm....heh,heh...
    Okay, enough fluff.( :No! Never, enough fluff!: ) I've recently read both Four &
Twenty Blackbirds, and Owlsight. I really liked 4&20, it was a nice addition to the
Bardic Voices series. I'm glad she went back and did more on Ardis, I was hoping she
would; and Tal Rufen was a really cool, new character, a la Sherlock Holmes. They
made a good combination. Owlsight was a great deal better than the first book in the
trilogy. I agree that the events of the series aren't as earth-shattering as some
previous books, but I don't think that makes them less readable. The only problem I
had with the first book, was that I didn't really like Darian. <ducks flaming sheep>
This series seems to be a little more like the Arrows trilogy. It started out fairly
slow too, because Talia's character had to grow and change. Which Darian thankfully
seems to have done a bit of, himself. I have a feeling that Misty will now stir
things up to a greater extent in the next book. At any rate, I think the second book
was more interesting because of the Tale'edras vale, and the introduction of a Healer
as a main character.
    Although I've been desperately trying to stay out of the actor/movie debate
thing, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Patrick Stewart (Alberich or Urtho)
Especially with several Star Trek fans on list, and the earlier discussion about sexy
older men! (Okay, so I've just seen Insurrection twice...) I will now wander off
singing stuff from H.M.S. Pinafore....and try harder not to get sucked in to this
particular thread!

Heyla! I just got to check my e-mail through my Uncle's connection to 
the Internet (unfortunatly I can only access the Internet through my 
school <sigh>). I have a lot of catching up to do. Anyway, I would like 
to send my appologies to poor Amy. 
My family has suffered the loss of loved ones over the past few years 
(my first closely related death was when I was in grade 8) and I've lost 
and Aunt and an Uncle in the span of two weeks (this Uncle happened to 
be one of my favorites)and that happened two years ago. <sigh> Death is 
never a happy thing to deal with, but it's better to think that these 
people who have died are in a happier place and watching over us.

Heyla! 

In response to Morgaine's question about Heralds who weren't Chosen in 
Haven, there happens to be one of my favorite Heralds NOT chosen in 
Have: Kerowyn from BTS (By the Sword (one of my favorites in the world 
of Velgarth).
And speaking of favorite worlds, does anyone here in the lists like to 
watch StarTrek: Deep Space Nine?
<sniff, sniff> Poor, Nog! Why did he have to get his leg cut off?!! 
(waaah!) And he happens to be one of my favorite characters aside from 
Jake, Ben, Bashir and O'Brien. Oh well. At least he's feeling better and 
we got to see a tender side of Quark (I never thought he cared about Nog 
that much.

Heyla! 
I think this will be the last time today that I've mailed the list in 
response to questions (this will be my third time <grin>).
First of all, I do not believe that any of the Heralds have pets.
Second, Companions can choose to mind-speak or carry any of the other 
Heralds (or non-Heralds). I believe that one of the Companions spoke to 
one of the Tayledras when Elspeth was there. Besides, what's wrong with 
Companions (a.k.a. Florian)talking to other people like normal people 
instead of reserving there Heralds for that special honnor (I think it's 
about time that the Heralds accepted Companions as people who can do 
what they like but still regard their Chosen as special people (sorry 
listsibs, that came out harsher than I expected)).
Hope I'm not flamed for this.
