What happened to Stef and Jisa after MP More mystery type stories envolving the Silver Gryphons The early life of Tryevan and Hydona A trilogy dealing with the Empire--maybe Chariliss's early life and reign A strictly Shin'a'in story maybe dealing with directly after the Mage Wars--there was a glimpse in one book but I want to know more What did happen to Amberdrake's family--if they lived that is Selenay's early life--someone else had mentioned this already More about Dirk and Talia--those little glimpses just weren't enough That's just the start but those are some of the ones that really intrigued me until next time, Amy Ferret Friend Lady of All Things Missing, Especially Socks ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Jan 1999 08:35:12 -0500 (EST) From: Gisela Vazquez To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Talia today Message-ID: Can any one else see Talia as a healer, oooops,! I mean, doctor? When Davin asked what the valdemar chars would be today, I saw that Maybe because of the way Misty portrais her. She's so gentle but strong and she has empathy, though I don't know how that would help. I mean no one would listen to her when she talked about what the person was "feeling," they wouldn't believe her. I can't see any one in religious orders. Someone else said they couldn't either, but can't remember who, sorry about that!! They just don't seem to be the type, perhaps because they're all so self reliant. What was it that Misty said in Magic's pawn. Let me look! Oh yes, she said Heralds preyed only as a last resort. It was when Savel couldn't think of what to do with Van, right before she decided to take him to the Hock Brothers. I think that's why it's so hard to see them in religious orders, even the nonheraldic chars. I'm done for now. Jisa would have been interesting to follow, but I think the jist of the rest of her life is that she married that one guy... and they were going to become consorts and live happily ever after... >More mystery type stories envolving the Silver Gryphons >The early life of Tryevan and Hydona >A trilogy dealing with the Empire--maybe Chariliss's early life and > reign >A strictly Shin'a'in story maybe dealing with directly after the Mage > Wars--there was a glimpse in one book but I want to know more >What did happen to Amberdrake's family--if they lived that is >Selenay's early life--someone else had mentioned this already >More about Dirk and Talia--those little glimpses just weren't enough i didn't really get into the gryphon books, but i agree with more on dirk and talia... it just seemed like Misty rushed their story too much, and then chopped it off at the end when they got together. there have been other things that Misty's left out... but right now i'm a little bleary-eyed from just waking up so I can't really think of any... :-) -ty Magic Breeder of Chickens in the Land of Plastic, http://www.geocities.com/paris/lights/8308 ICQ: 20439692 AOL IM: Tylendel33 "And if I'm hanging on to your shade I guess I'm way beyond the pain..." -Tori Amos, "Doughnut Song" ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Jan 1999 12:43:40 EST From: Dancekbg-+AT+-aol.com To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Please please forgive me! If you want to tell me if you smoke, I'd appreciate that too, but you don't need to. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! Okeyley dokeyley: ObMisty: Ooh! I have a couple...oooh...aahhh... 1) Which of her trilogies are sold in one book? I thought I saw the LHM series in one...anyone know? 2) Does anyone else think that since Valdemar had no names for their gods (I don't think) that they were really praying to the Star-Eyed and Vkandis and all the other gods without really knowing it? And that in the Book of One, it happened to be like a big god that's facets were the Star-Eyed and Vkandis and all the rest? Am I making any sense here? What I mean is: do you believe that all the gods in all the Alliance and beyond were one god with many facets? Kinda like the Star-Eyed? Okay...I'll stop now! Message-ID: Heyla all, I'll tell you what I'd like to see a tale about Van's family. In winds Elspeth said that if there was a member of the family that was out of place they went to Hayven and became something. Maybe Misty could follow one of them, a bard perhaps? I also aggree with those that have said Talia and Derk were just sort of left after their Wedding. I'd like to read about other things that happened to them. The story of the tedrel wars would be nice too. I'd also like to read about some of the things that settlers of White Gryphon had to go through to get there. Sorry this has been all disjointed, but I've been writing things down as they've come to me. One more guys, and then that's it, Van's other child. Has any one else wonthered what happened to him, actually it were twins? zhaihelleva ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Jan 1999 16:11:47 -0500 (EST) From: Orelalaith To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: RE: Perfect Vanyel Message-ID: Newbie de-lurking... :) Just one question people, am I the only that noticed she's using Microshaft Word on automatic spell-check? :) It was a wee bit annoying going through the Owl's flight books and seeing Oversight instead of Othersight... With a crash Elsa lands in the Hall, having been blasted out of Lurkerdom by a kindly mecha/gundam/giant robot. She waves to the Listees and sets out a gigantic chocolate-fudge cake for the newbies. *~*~*~*~*~* Heyla, hiyas, and konnichiwa!! I have been busy busy busy for the past little while, so this is a catch-up braid!! (But DO NOT PANIC those of you who remember my catch-ups from the past!!!!!! ^_^; This isn't all that old, and it's only gonna take one post!!! ...i hope...) Anyhoo, since I ask'd ever'body what they wanted/got for this winter holiday just past, it's only fair and right that I reveal what some of my booty was. *veg* *sinister music and thunder in the background* Bwah ha ha ha!!!! Well, I got 2 NEW Playstation games, Alundra and Gex:Enter the Gecko, which I haven't had much time to play with, a few necklaces, a Bindy bear made by my mom, $20 Gift Certificates for CHAPTERS, $10 for Coles books, and $10 for United Book Store/Halley's Comics. YAYYY!!!! And I got 75 smack-a-roonies cash O_o. My best friend Janine gave me two issues of Animerica Extra, and I have to admit that despite all the ppl I've heard saying Fushigi Yûgi is fine except for the main character, I kinda like Miaka. She reminds me of Sailor Moon. So, did I spend my money and certificates on books, books, and more books? YOU BET!!!! ^_~ (I also bought myself a silk shirt and a new sweater.) hee hee, I am now the proud owner of Ranma 1/2 volumes 17 and 18 in French, Down, Song in the Silence, Six and Twenty Blackbirds, and A Cast of Corbies! Oh, and I got Kiki's Delivery Service, which Janine is borrowing right now. I had borrowed a movie from her, but I gave it back. Yu Yu Hakusho: Poltergeist Report. I watched in SIX TIMES last week, and I was afraid I might overuse it and ruin the tape!!! ^_^;; I've got it memorized now!!! M'rra wrote: <> Welcome welcome welcome!!!!! Why can't she just ride off into the sunset like a male hero >> *shrugs* Just one of those things. Most books don't end quite that way if they're in a series. But your 'riding into the sunset' comment reminded me of something. I know not everyone here is too keen on romance novels (I'm talkin' Harlequin), but I did once read a really cool one were at the end, the 2 main characters ride off into the sunset on horseback, arguing. I don't remember the name, but I know her nicname was "The Velvet Hammer" and his was "Spider". She was a kidnapped him. Both the male and female leads were very strong-minded, and they couldn't agree on much. In any case, I don't think Misty does this often. I don't recall Jennifer Talldeer hearing wedding bells at the end of Sacred Ground. Rune got married, but her life continues. I just read Voyager, 3rd book in a wonderful series, and Claire didn't get married at the end. *g* she was reunited with her husband somewhere in the middle. In the first book she had to marry him, and then came to love him deeply. Who wouldn't? James "Jamie" Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie Fraser is such a lovable, funny, REAL person. <> That's a big 10-4!! I love them both!!! Well, that's about it for me. As soon as I finish Song in the Silence I'll read the further adventures of the Free Bards, but it looks like I'm might be busy in the future. Monday night I'm going to an award ceremony for the Poppy Day Poster contest to see if my essay "A Moment of Silence" won anything, and then Tuesday I'm auditioning for this years school drama production! Remember she spent a lot of time at the healers ?temple? and helped out there. Really it isn't too far to already call her a healer, she just heal's the mind instead of the body. Still I agree that she wouldn't make it in our world today... even WITH her gift she would be given to take on EVERYONE no matter who or if they would pay. I also would like to see a tale of Van's family. I think from what I've read they would be a very interesting group to follow up on.... but then because my fav. character is Talia I want too see more books on her and a family maybe after the wedding. It would be nice to see more sketching going on, I don't think it to be likely though unless by some blessed event Lackey storms the bookshelves and more people pay more bucks to her for her books....
