lI want to start an e-mail rp group. I first got the idea from a Melanie Rawn
list when they had a masqerade ball or some such and everyone loved it and
couldn't wait for the next one! I loved the fluff on this list and I miss it.
Chenci most of all, even if no one else wanted the fluff. So I want to start a
list of all fluff (rp) I will start with a web page to describe the settings
and rules. But I need help making the rules and finding the first set of
players. It's kindof like a you start the story I continue and she finishes
thing. If anyone is interested of can help please write me at

Also I read that someone is compiling the meantion of sheep in Misty
books..... well I am a big lover of quotes! And so I obviously adore the Shin-

collecting all those? I would love it if someone already has, it would save me

In Oathblood the short story 
The Making of a Legend.

There is reference from page 84 to 86 I think please don't be mad at me for
not quoting it! I tired to four times and it took forever and all four times
due to strange frustrating cercumstances which is greatly upseting after all
that work I lost what I was typing.... I  feel like screaming. So the page
numbers will have to suffice! Sorry!

I am fairly sure I have Misty on the brain! :) I was writing another story....
and the main characters name was to be Kessra Maylee Sky. (didn't know where I
get these names ugh! but I have a liking for uncommon and unusual names!) And
my soul-sister pointed out to me a strange likeness. She had just
readOathblood and in the introduction story (the first one)  Tarmas horses
name bears a very strange likeness to Kessra....in fact being.. Kessira!  I
had not been thinking about that at all! In fact it had been a full out year
sense I had read the Oath books let alone never really reading that particular
peice!  That is wild! Now I wonder if I have to change my characters name? I
didn't mean for it to seem so close to Tarmas horse... and I wasn't basing
anything purposly in even unpurposly on Mistys work... could I get in trouble
for that?

Good point. And don't forget the griffons. They are a mythical 
creatures. And I'm surprised Ma'ar never tried to breed griffon/firebird

We've had discussion about braiding on list in the past, which is why we
used to commonly comment in the fact to discuss offlist, so as not to
bring the same discussions back online.

Lucky for you I even read the message to respond to you.  I generally do
not read braids.  Since I prefer to use the topic of the message for
indication on whether I want to read it or not, since noise to content
ratio is rising again.

The human subconscious can play strange trick on us. I don't think you 
particularly need to change your character's name--if you inadvertently 
named a character Vanyel or Skandranon, that's be one thing, but there's 
a limit to what names authors can and cannot claim rights to. 'Kessra' 
could have any number of non-Misty derivations, including 'Kestra,' 
which I have seen in more than one other source and have used myself. 
It's just a name.

Well, you do know that's essentially what the Mistic Circle is, right? I 
don't know if it's taking more members--you'd have to ask the current 
admin. The page is www.geocities.com/Area51/Shadowlands/6543 ....have a 
look. However, if you decide to go ahead and start your own--hell, I'm 
in, at least tentatively until I see what your rules and theme are. Ask 
the Mistic Circle folks; I'm picky about control.

Incidentally, I liked the fluff at first, but after a while it lost 
something, and wound up being just folks manifesting nifty things and 
giving each other stuff. *shrug*

Well, Ma'ar couldn't have done that. He never was able to reproduce 
gryphons or firebirds. They were Urtho's and Urtho's predecessors.
