I haven't myself received anything more since the first time that it has happened, so I would suspect that you don't need to worry about it just yet :). As for other people who were wondering how you can catch a virus, here goes :). A virus has to be part of a file, and needs to be processed in order to come alive. Plain, old e-mail letters can't have viruses in them, because (as was shown in the digest mode) they become a series of letters and such. Plain text can in no way harm your computer :). Keeping this in mind, the only way that you can obtain a virus with old readers is to have a file attached to the e-mail, and then open the file. There is no other way for plain text to do so :). For those e-mail programs that are able now to read Java and the like in e-mail letters, the simple rule to always follow is, never open up an e-mail from someone that you don't trust virus-wise. If your mother sends you something, I'm sure that you trust her, but might she be passing a virus? *insert disclaimer of an amateur internet person here* --- Then went on to write.. >*big grin* that is _so_ nice. Actually, the simplest rule is "do not have Java enabled automatically." Almost any email program that is capable of interpreting Java commands, or automatically opening and running mailed .exe files can be set so that it will only do so after asking you explicitly and getting your okay. Don't say okay to anything that you don't know for sure is safe (and that means, even things that your friends and family send you should be thoroughly checked with a virus checker before you run them). Remember, just because you trust the person doesn't mean that they might not be sending you a virus unknowingly (or for that matter, that you might not be wrong about them). If you disregard this basic bit of safety, you have only yourself to blame if your computer catches a virus. It's too bad you guys don't have friends around you that read ML. All of my friends do. Slowly two of my friends turned everyone into ML fans. :-) Have you guys suggested books to them? ohh well Out here in the San Francisco area there are a lot of people into sci-fi, anime, and rennaisance stuff. can't think of anymore ML stuff except I can't wait till OwlSight comes out in paperback! I am 15 too. I just joined this list a few weeks ago, but I've been lurking for a long time. If you're looking for people who love Misty and want to talk about her, you've come to the right place! I have the same problem. Nobody I know has read or even heard of Misty. Thank Havens for this list or I'd probably burst with questions. BTW, I read that Misty was also a lyricist as well as a novelist. I read some of her songs in the back of AFall. Does she have a CD out? Can I buy or order it anywhere? You can get them at http://www.firebirdarts.com . For the people who have listened to the songs (or even just read the lyrics in the backs of the books way too many times) do you think that they captured the mood of what was happening in the text the way you thought of it? Sometimes the songs made me thing about things in different ways, I'm just wondering if anyone else had any thoughts. I like the songs, and I have bought 3 of the cds so far.
