Now maybe somebody already said this and I just missed it but it seems pretty obvious to me. 1. Even though Talia and Kris were not lifebonded there was an attraction between the two of them. If you were locked up with someone of the oppisite sex for a long period of time and there was an attraction between the two of you something would most likely happen. 2. Now I am not sure about this one because it has been a while since I read that book ut It was also a matter of survival. IT kept them warm when it was really cold out. 3.Aren't heralds known to sleep around alittle. In my opinion Talia was one of the least permiscuous (sp?) by far. 4. Last but not least. Dirk didn't seem to mind so why should we. These are just my personal facts on the matter. I just felt that something had to be said. ~Ca Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Mar 1999 23:38:23 PST From: "ambermoon starshadow" To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: various stuff Message-ID: <19990320073824.28141.qmail-+AT+-hotmail.com> Heyla, Sorana wrote: > I found one of Misty's names in another author's book! I was a little annoyed at Firesong in the beginning (when he was playing games with Darkwind and Elspeth), but then I loved him. I wasn't precisely annoyed with him in Storms, I just couldn't believe he could consider it. Then when it was explained that it was because of chemical changes in his brain, I was relieved. And even through that, he reminded himself it was unethical. But I agree that he's a good character b/c everyone reacts to him. Firesong is there, he can't be ignored, he can't slide by. He is something to be recognized. I have a friend who really doesn't like Firesong in Storms, b/c of his obsession for a lifebond, but who still admired Firesong for his handling of the Court - clothing, sarcastic wit and all. Even you Firesong-haters have to respect him sometimes. Lovesinger wrote: >I guess that was an "oopsie." That is something to consider. I can't see gryphons as larger than elephants, though, so it must be around two years max. It still doesn't add up - that would make present gryphlets 8 - 9 years from when Darkwind was 14, which only makes him 22 or 23. Fireheart k'Vala ---Maybe I'm just weird (well, actually, I know I am ;-) ) but i never got really mad at Firesong or Elspeth, I thought she was a brat, but i I figured she'd grow out of it and that much of it was due to her enviroment. I never thought of her as a bitch. I think she does care about other people, I think of a bitch as someone cold-hearted who's mean to other people without cause, certainly nothing to be terribly proud of, though I know a lot of people use it jokingly. Some people seem to rally behind the term as if being mean were freedom and feminine liberation. Since when does being needlessly mean and even cruel to others make anyone free? -perhaps a little off topic... but oh well. ---rainfire Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 20 Mar 1999 16:26:45 -0800 From: Obsidian To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: Voting Message-ID: <36F43CC4.C3E4960F-+AT+-softhome.net> Heyla, Okay everyone, I found a site where you vote for your favorite author. Okay so she is the princess of a country and for a couple of years was lead to believe that anything she wanted would be hers. Even after Hulda she was still a princess which makes you live a life whee peple tend to do what you ask of them. Basically what I am trying to say is that, Yes.. she had a conrol problem and could a bit of a bitch, but look at her situation. People of Status kind of have a reputation for being a litttle bitchy. Maybe it is the position and not the person. Besides, She was Chosen so how bad could she be. I know that I can be a bitch but I would hate it if people just assumed I was a horrible person just because I was bitchy for a moment. I would also like to point out that once she realize that she was being a bitch ( After her first little outburst) she did try to fix it. That is a sign to me that you can't be that bad. About the whole Talia Kris thing. I do think that they knew about the life bond, and Dirk did mind ( remember Arrow's Fall with him broading over it ) but you have to keep in mind that they were a guy and a girl (who got along really well) alone for a year and a half and I am pretty sure that they both knew that it was nothing based onthe whole little fight thing. I am sorry if I am being vague but I don't feel like going to get my book and scoreing it for a quote. Anyway I just got back from French Camp and I am really tired so I leave you with this little message: "Les moutons chocolat pour tout de mes amis."
