If they had a gift like that in Valdemar, I'd want it. I mean, if you could negate gravity, you could just float around all the time....fun! Tad William's Tailchaser's Song is one of my favorite books! Ok, well that's all I have to say for now. Hopefully, once finals are over, I'll be back to my normally-talkative self! IIRC he actually keeps saying "By the hundred little gods" and it is jsut a saying, coz there's actually a whole lot more than that. 100 is just conveniont. The Eastern Empire people have a habit of worshipping anything and everything, like their ancestors, the god of cookie-making, the god of woolly jumpers, the god of bureaucracy...i could go on forever. And probably the emperor as well but i've forgotten. It makes me wonder, are these facets of one Big God or are all these squillions of little gods runnig aroudn getting under the feet of Kal'enel and her colleagues? By the way, in another book [i forget which - sorry, i should really get my memory overhauled] someone refers to the Aurinalean Empire. Is that the same as the Eastern Empire? On the subject of Star WArs, my deepest sympathies go out to those who ahve to wait to see it - i feel your pain! New Zealand has a history of taking forever to get new movies and books. Fortunately someone has seen the light regarding Star Wars and we only ahve to wait till June 30. Unfortunately, not much else. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 09 May 1999 07:12:49 PDT From: "Kristjan Wager" To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: deities Message-ID: <19990509141249.3045.qmail-+AT+-hotmail.com> Hi listsibs After going through my mails, that hotmail restored to me, I found this interesting old mail, and since people have been talking about religion, and since it is nearly 1 year old, I thought I'll post it for people to see. > >2.
