Okay, here's *another* probably silly question. I know that there were bird-people mentioned that co-existed with the Talaydras. Were they bird-people like T'Fyrr? Don't know who T'Fyrr is but the Ter(re)vardi are bird people that do associated with the Tayledras and the Kaled'a'in. It is thought that they were once birds and are now almost completely human with just a thin layer of feathers still covering their bodies and their mouths are still sort of beaky (Elspeth says their either hard lips or flexible beaks). It does say in Silver Gryphon that they can fly, but I don't believe they can anymore. Hope that helps. -- Paige Proud to be Outlandish Royal Defender of The Brat Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Jun 1999 21:00:54 -0400 From: Paige To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: Mega Braid/Companions, and Fluff Message-ID: <376848C6.40926A2D-+AT+-sympatico.ca> dennis-+AT+-jmf.org.ph wrote: > It really isn't such a matter of problem solving as it is of > relationship dynamics. What > could have been more natural than, "Do I really do that?" > Problems aside, we talk to our friends. Kris *did* talk to Tantris, specifically about Talia. IIRC he said that he didn't know what was wrong with her because Rolan wouldn't tell him, but if he found out anything he'd let him know. In fact, IIRC they had quite a few conversations, they just weren't written out. Also, if you're talking "talking" Talia and Rolan can't do that. All he could send her would be feelings which in AFlight wouldn't have helped her, just as when she was having her bout of self-pity on the road to Hardorn in AFall. Most of the other Heralds do talk to their companions quite a bit, those that can at least. IMO it's a little hard to communicate with someone when they can't answer you in any way that's helpful. -- Paige Proud to be Outlandish Royal Defender of The Brat Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk? ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 Jun 1999 02:44:11 GMT From: Jamie Jacobs To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: Canadians, Rufus, etc... It's called Owlknight. I think it's supposed to come out sometime this year...You could check Firebird Arts' webpage...I think there's something on the Ask Misty page about it. She's also planning on coming out with some new books similar to _The_Fire_Rose_ - fairy tales set in other times... Zhai'helleva, and summer-loving sheep!
