I just finished re-reading Children of the Night, and did anyone else notice that the creature that inspired her panic attacks was Nightflyer.... I wonder if it was the same one Eric conjured when he was performing Danse Macabre for the first time, as it would be about the same time period... I just caught that, and thought it wierd, and therefore well worth my time :-) Taliesin Pereldan, Impressed of Rhainnon, Gold Fire-Lizard Journeyman Harper _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. I haven't read the Serrated Edge in a while but I just finished "Bedlam's Bard" recently and the elves are the same in them. The iron in meat or human blood would be warm and prolly wouldn't havr the same effect as iron in it's hard (COLD) state. Just an idea... Stef says, "i thought that Companions never outlived their Chosen, " he said. "And vice versa. So what's wrong?" now the reason for the doubt in that quote is..uhoh, better spoiler: S P O I L E R S P A C E this is because its at the part where all of the Herald-Mages are "accidently and mysteriously" dying. i cant explain it well, but u can reread that part if you are confused. E N D S P O I L E R and btw, to whoever said this, thanks for giving the spoiler warning- i accidently read two things taht should have been spoiled. well guess what? i went into a local *used book store* and they had *multiple copies* of *all* of the LHM books. a stroke of luck! of course, i bought one of each *g*. o, adn i have another spoiler (sorry):: (for MPrice) S P O I L E R S P A C E since Stef was a...uh..reincarnated (i know taht not the right word) 'Lendel, why wasnt he a Herald? did it just not fit the circumstances? now that i think of it, it was probably essential to the story that he wasnt. also, a question brought up a while ago was whether or not 'Lendel would have been pushed over the edge later in his life even if the whole Stav/feud thing didnt. Since Stef was a "reincarnated" 'Lendel, and he was *perfectly* stable his entire life, i think that if the whole Stav/feud thing had not existed, 'Lendel would have been a fine Herald. now, granted, Stef didnt have to go through with the stress, etc. that came w/ being a Herald, but i still think he would have managed fine. E N D S P O I L E R well, i will be on vacation for 9 days, and since i dont have a computer, i cant post for a while (ive already been gone for about a week, so i didnt want anyone to think im lurking). well, i'll miss the discussions and i look forward to reading all the posts when i get back (i know there will be quite a few *g*)! At least I have got it, so I'll make it again. I just want people to remember SPOILER SPACES when they post something which might tell too much of a book's plot. Not everyone on the list has read every Misty book, and it can be greatly annoying to hear how a trilogy ( TLHM in this case ) ends before even starting on it. Just for the record, I have read it, but some might not, so remember those spaces! Might take on the campion/chosen outliving thing: I got the impression in several books that a chosen can't outlive the death of their comapnion, but I can't recall seeing it be written directly anywhere, so it might not be so. On the other hand it is said again and again that Companions don't outlive their Chosen, except in the case of the Monarch's Owns' Companion. I still maintain the list of listsibs' homepages at http://www.angelfire.com/wa/Absalon, if you want to get your homepage added to the list, please send me a mail containing the URL and the name of the homepage, but remember to do it privately.
