I was just thinking (very dangerous indeed!). Wouldn't it be interesting if Misty wrote a book about a talking sheep with mage abilities? Sort of like a "Babe" of Valdemar or something to that effect. Also I was just curious if there were many "holidays" mentioned in Misty's books? I can't seem to recall many. Thanks. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 28 Oct 1999 22:25:15 EDT From: Jenypher8-+AT+-aol.com To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: Heyla (fluff alert) Message-ID: <0.485558a7.254a5f8b-+AT+-aol.com> In a message dated 10/27/99 7:25:09 PM Eastern Daylight Time, silverwing2-+AT+-hotmail.com writes: << Obmisty:If you could choose 1 Misty character (any series) to be related to, who would it be? >> I would say Savil, she had a fun life, I think it would be adventurous to a young savil growing up. His next response was Urtho, but we knew so little about him that we had a hard time connecting a place to become one of his relatives. So another question would be did Urtho have any kids or relatives that survived the cataclysm? I can't remember reading about them if there were any. Personally I would like to be related to Kethry, she was such a cool character, but I never see her getting much attention on the list. Maybe it is because she was only in two books + short storys, instead of a trilogy. Oh well. Okay I think that is enough gripping...~grins~...by the way I see a lot of this sheep giving going around, and I was thinking of giving some myself, but I wasn't sure what flovor to offer...so I was wondering what everybodies favorite flavored sheep were? ;-) Well that is it for now. I know! I wanna be related to Savil! Does that mean you would want to be related to Vanyel to? Savil was his Aunt, so you would be related to Van just by default. => - Ellevaranachai Shay'Nara'Val Herald Trainee, but Bard wannabe => Rethwellan by Nature, Chosen by Virtue ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 29 Oct 1999 10:59:32 -0400 From: LW To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: on the matter of a would be relative Message-ID: <3.0.6.32.19991029105932.0079cdc0-+AT+-idirect.ca> At 05:55 AM 10/29/99 GMT, you wrote: >In a message dated 10/27/99 7:25:09 PM Eastern Daylight Time, >silverwing2-+AT+-hotmail.com writes: > ><< Obmisty:If you could choose 1 Misty character (any series) to be related >to, > who would it be? >> >I posed this question to my brother, the one who got me started on Misty >books, but is not yet a member of the list, and his first response was >Skandranon, the all time favorite black griffin. I am not sure it ever really mentioned Urtho to much though I believe he is Kaledain.(Sorry can't spell today) so there is a big chance that a lot of relatives of his are around. >Personally I would like to be related to Kethry, she was such a cool >character, but I never see her getting much attention on the list. She was in two novels all about her and Tarma and she had a part in the novel By The Sword and all of the short stories. She has written alot about her. Though I wanted to see more about her kids that went to become Shin'a'in. I liked in her short novella I guess that was in the short storie compilation about Tarma and Kethry. You at least found out about the kids. More than likely I'd be an Adept mage, and if not that, than I'd probably have some other kind of Gift. Then, I'd also be related to Firesong and Elspeth....a Tale'edres and Valdemarean royalty...not bad! :) Wind to thy wings, Lovesinger BTW, Mirra, my favorite flavor of sheep is Double Chocolate Chip. :) ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 29 Oct 1999 14:38:41 -0400 From: LW To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: on the matter of a would be relative Message-ID: <3.0.6.32.19991029143841.0079cc10-+AT+-idirect.ca> At 04:10 PM 10/29/99 GMT, you wrote: >I'd love to be a decendant of Vanyel. They states in some of the books that the majority doesn't have the gifts like Vanyel. Vanyel wouldn't have had them except in potention if it hadn't been for the burning open of the channels. I believe in one of the books they said something on the lines of When an Ashkevron has a gift they usually run off to Haven and are not like the rest of the family in looks.
