Shepards books stick more closely to the SE world and are pretty decent. Lisle's books a quite a bit different but still worth reading. Has anyone heard when Brightly Burning is going to be out? I would love to read about Levan Firestorm and I know its the next Valdemar book. I got some in the UK at Forbidden Planet and some from the internet. The Internet Bookshop claims to have all in print UK books and they don't list a non-American edtion for any of this series. Anyone else know better? Does anyone know when Burning Brightly is going to come out? I keep checking to see if its listed, but no luck so far. ---------------------- Liz Hoffman E.G.Hoffman-+AT+-soton.ac.uk ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Nov 1999 13:59:10 -0600 From: "Taliesin Pereldan" To: Subject: SERRAted edge series Message-ID: <19991119195823.28815.qmail-+AT+-hotmail.com> As far as I can remember , Chrome Circle doesn't have a helpline dedication, but Chorme Borne probably does, because Born to Run did.... As for the other books, they are *not* SERRAted edge, but take place in the same universe, on the west coast (California, but not sure exactly where) and they are Elvendude, and it's sequel Spiritride; and Lazerwarz, which only recently came out, and i haven't had a chance to read it yet. I don't know who decided to publish Chrome Borne, but it was a bad idea (IMHO) because of Chrome Circle taking place after the events in Wheels of Fire, and having so much to do with them, it should have had Born to Run, Wheels of Fire, and Chrome Circle..... Without going into enough detail to rate a spoiler, i'll just say that Chrome Circle is straight adventure, only occasionlly referring to Joe's background from Wheels of Fire. Well, I've popped out of lurkdom long enough, having to work 5 shifts straight just after coming back from vacation destroys all the peaceful relaxation that camping brings...oh well, i'll just have to take a short one around Yule, that'll show 'em...
