I mean, as actually alive again. I think it would be interesting to see how Levan's life unfolds alongside events that we're already familiar with from Van's perspective. It'd be almost like getting a different perspective on the same history...and getting another opinion on Vanyel. But that's all assuming that they were both alive at the same time. Another thing: I just finished the Mage Storm trilogy, and I really like Solaris. No one ever talks about her much on the list, but I thought she was one of the most interesting characters in the trilogy, even though she wasn't a main focus. I'd really like to see a novel about her rise to power in Karse, and how she went about bringing about the alliance. I think it would be interesting to see inside the private thoughts of Solaris the woman, before she became the Son of the Sun. And besides Solaris, I'd like to know what happened in the Empire after the Storms. Is there any more about them in the Owl books, or in any forthcoming novels that anyone knows of? In the end, when Melles killed Charliss, all the energy from Charliss' spell went into the Iron Throne. That seems like something important that would be discussed further in other novels. I would think that the power could be drawn from the Throne...kinda like a small Heartstone or something. I didn't really like the parts of the trilogy that were about the Empire. I guess it's because they're portrayed as the "bad guys." I mean, compared to the standards of Valdemar and the alliance, the Empire is the epitomy of evil. But all that aside, I'd really like to see what happend to Melles, and how he goes about restoring the Empire to what it was before the Mage Storms. Oh, and what about Iftel? I'd like to see a novel about them. About when they fled from the Cataclysm and how Iftel was formed. That's got to be an interesting story.
