You've accidentally confused the Tervardi with those deer-like people...the..erm...shoot, I had their name last night... Dyheli! That's it! It was the Dyheli that were trapped by Falconsbane's little cloud. The Tervardi couldn't have flown out of there either. From LHM on (IIRC) they haven't been able to fly. >Oh! Actually, the reason is known, but not understood. She feels sorry for him. And she thinks it's sweet he wrote a song just for Tarma. I do, however, agree that Leslac is an amusing character. It was amusing when they got him thrown in jail for one thing... Lovesinger wrote: >You know, now that I think about it, I'd like to see more about the > >"other" intellegent races of Velgarth. We do get to see a little more of the Dyheli and Tervardi in the Owl trilogy. Mostly the Dyheli, but the Tervardi made a guest appearance in Owlsight. BTW, the name of the Hertasi in the Mage Wars was Gesten. And now, a special holiday YKYBRTMMLW-- You know you've been reading too much Mercedes Lackey when you hear the song "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" and immediately have a vision of a whole bunch of Heralds in a Heavenly (or should that be Havenly?) choir with little halos over their heads. Oh, look! Isn't that Vanyel in with the baritones? And 'Lendel/Stef singing with the tenors? Anyone see 'Fandes up there? Candy cane sheep to all and to all a good day!
