For the Ekaterin-inclined among you, a local librarian recommended the
following in the newsletter:

_The Southern Gardener's Book of Lists_ by Lois Trigg Chaplin. This
valuable gardener's resource is organized by lists of trees, shrubs,
perennials, ground covers, etc. that have similar characteristics that you
may desire [or want to avoid] for a particular site in your
garden. Interspersed among the lists are gardening tips from some of the
experts in horticulture. Another plus is that it is geared toward
gardening in the south! This is one of this gardener's favorite and
oft-used reference books.

Also of possible interest:

http://www.bookbrowser.com/ is a site dedicated to reading, maintained by
two librarians, Janet Lawson and Cindy Orr. It offers fiction reading
lists, forthcoming titles, authro information and interviews, and more. If
you have a favorite author and want to find other authors who write in a
similar genre, try their "If you like ... try" section. Such search
features as "sleuths by occupation" are included.

Romance readers can have lots of fun at _All About Romance_
[http://www.likesbooks.com/] . This is a chatty, informal site that offers
book reviews graded A - F. It also includes a Desert Isle review
list--books that readers would want to have on a desert island.

Jerrie, who personally prefers a dessert island. ;)
