Hi Lois!

Sorry to reply late, but I've been swamped now that I'm back at work
fulltime with a six month old. I've really wanted to see the Tamil
movie, but I haven't made enough of an effort to find it. It's the
language that my family speaks so I can even understand the original
without subtitles. Maybe I'll have to see if my mom can get it for
me.

Aishwarya Rai, lead in "Bride," is a former Miss World and started her
movie career in Telegu and Tamil movies (the languages that my family
speaks). She branched out to the wider audience Hindi movie market
and then into the English movies over time.

She starred in a really hilarious Tamil movie called "Jeans" that
supposedly took place in the US. Very funny, though it probably
wasn't meant to be... Though my brother has a thing for her, so had
to watch the movie all the way through again after we'd just finished
it. He keeps saying that my parents could arrange him a marriage with
a girl like her anytime! I'm not sure I've told him that she's my age
(he considers me old!).

Anyway, as an Austen fan and a Tamil speaker (or at least
understander), I really really want to see that movie. Nice to hear
that it's fun!
