Happy Birthday, Gerlinde Kettl!  (Faithful Companion winds herself around 
the corner, sensing possible food. She's grown her fur back out and has no 
more knots, and actually relishes being brushed as long as a Bribe on her 
plate is involved).

The Adjutant Birthday Tixie reminds Faithful Companion of the can most 
recently devoured, and requests a little more enthusiasm. Faithful Companion 
yawns and wanders off).

Well. Sorry about that. Hope you have a marvelous birthday anyway, on the 
2nd, I believe, and have all the friends and food and drink and books that 
you could hope for.
