I've been amused watching this conversation - in the US, we don't use
stones.  I knew what a stone was, even if I'd forgotten the exact
pounds <> stones conversion factor.

You might be interested to know that you can get triple standard
scales in the US that do kg, pounds, or stones & pounds.
