I was reading a book of "Savage Love" columns (plug, plug) where a column
involving ice cubes had somehow gotten another reader to earnestly explain
how _awful_ ordinary tap water is, all the chlorine, everyone should buy a
$200 super-duper water purifier. Columnist replied "A little chlorine
beats a lot of cholera."
