I so agree with the sentiment. But in the situation... Oh well.

Hmm. But he can scout out the location of the lair more effectively
without having all of his patrol noising around, warning the malice to
move - or to prepare its defences. Then he can pick Fawn up and take
her to Glassforge, and get the patrol in for a swift sweep.

(Btw, if I slip and use "she" for malice... the translation of the
word in Bulgarian is definitely in feminine gender, I can sometimes
find it troublesome to not think of "malice" as "she").
