A number of years ago, I was flying home to the UK from Hollywood
International Airport, Fort Lauderdale. The seats on the public
toilets there were all covered with clear plactic. Some sort weight
or motion sensor was attached to the seat, because as soon as I stood
up, there was a whirring noise as a machine automaically removed ad
disposed of the the seat cover I had used at the same time replacing
it with a clean one from a roll at the side of the toilet. I marveled
at this curious piece of hygenic engineering.
