You can compromise about any number of things, but you can't compromise 
yourself.

The negotiables are ... negotiable. But some things are sacred, and if 
you don't figure out what they are and dig your heels in and tough it 
out to get them, the sweetest person in the world isn't gonna make you a 
good partner.

This will make you unhappy, and them too, if they're any sort of a 
decent sort.
