Hey, the New York Times Book Review does it.  Not on eBay, but they sell 
their used/unwanted book review copies .  (To Barnes and Noble. B&N 
comes to the Times office and picks them up. Once a month or so, by 
which time the NYTBR has accumulated a whole roomful of books.)

Saw it on C-SPAN's Book TV over the weekend. It being a holiday weekend, 
they were apparently trying to lay off the heavy political stuff.
