One sees where some areas of his relationship with Hetwar might
have been fraught -- and one of the areas which might have made
Hetwar notice him. Sure, he's a great fighter and all that, but
someone in the capital can probably get quite a number of tough
swordsmen without too much difficulty.
Ingrey respects integrity, and Hetwar can make much more use
of someone who will tell him the truth, even unpalatable truth,
than of someone whose only value is as a sword.
