[LMB] OT: Books

I've been reading Elizabeth Moon's "Vatta" series. I think they are a good read for listees, but they don't seem to stand alone as well as I would like. The individual books don't seem to come to a real conclusion, just a stopping point. (I understand that Real Life(tm) is much the same.)
