Kalina shares, about the _Shannara_ books:

>But by then I had read a lot more fantasy, and, as aside from LOTR and
>Earthsea, Shannara was my first venture there, I will not go into
>elaborate criticism - I _am_ grateful, as it opened a multitude of books I
>had not imagined reading before that.

That's an excellent point, Kalina! Even if some books don't hold up to a
re-read, they were necessary steps to get us to where we are: enthralled
fans of Lois' books. Some things it is necessary to learn to appreciate
first, before being able to savor the masterpieces, in more ways.

Speaking of savoring masterpieces, what's up with the _Hallowed Hunt_
discussion? Weren't Elizabeth Holden & Peter Granzeau starting that up
again last week?

Jerrie, who quite liked Terry Brooks' first few _Landover_ books
