Port Deposit, Maryland, a little old town on the banks of the
Susquehanna.  I do see the occasional squirrel or groundhog, and
deer sometimes graze in fields beside the road (and one has to be
careful not to hit one when driving).  But birds are much more
visible, and with the river right across the street, the swallows
love it.  We have several indigenous species, plus Chimney
Swifts.  (And lots of other birds, of course.)
