*whistles* Man, your luck was in. You couldn't get me that close to a 
raccoon that hung around after I yelled if you put me in chains and 
dragged me.

We keep the cats in and the raccoons out. Very, very carefully indeed.

At most, the odd sick one can get a bowl of water in the shed, and when 
it's as hot as it's been this week I put out water for all and sundry, 
but as I am cautious about rabies as only someone who grew up in an area 
where it was endemic can be.

I'd never go after a wild animal with anything. Not with anything fit 
for keeping in the house in a downtown urban neighbourhood, anyway.

There are trained people for dealing with aggressive wild animals in the 
house. They have long sticks with nets on them, they have tranq guns, 
and they have had their shots.

I summon them freely, when needed.
