I'm going to plug Nabble again, which is a kind of mailing-list/web gateway:
http://www.nabble.com

You can set up a forum which mirrors a mailing list, or just a forum
which stands alone; you can also group fora together.

It is also possible to style a forum so that it looks like a given
website, so we could dress it up like the Nexus ;-)
