Hm. There was an actor a while back whose stage name was Van 
Johnson; his real name was Charles Van Johnson. (Make that "is an 
actor"; IMDB indicates that he's still alive.) For that matter, there was a 
baseball player named Von Joshua, full name Von Charles Joshua.

Whatever that tells us...
