Talented (s)he might well be, but is it too much to ask that something
like this could be run through a spell-check and copy-edit before
publication[1]?

Or am I being spoiled by certain authors who write right?

[1] on the very first page, the second box of narrative contains what
would appear to be a glaring grammatical error...kind of throws you
off your stride :-(
