I believe that is put in automatically so that people's mailers can sort the
posts.

Ummm, if I might, please don't set up a blog or LJ.  You are too good
an author to stop writing novels.  While I've enjoyed reading your
posts, occasional tidbits of personal news, and interviews, your real
strength,
IMHO, is in your ability to get in and develop characters, background, and
setting.
