As near as I can tell, most bloggers use a different software set-up,
and probably host their blog on their own site, and don't use the thing
_so_ much as a diary -- whereas livejournalists use the software and
interface(s) that Livejournal.com provides, and it's all hosted on
the Livejournal servers. And LJ-users tend to use it in a more diary-
like way, with to-do lists and such.

(I got a LJ account just to keep up with stuff my friends wrote. I didn't
think I'd write anything on it myself. *looks ruefully at... all the
fanfic, all the carefully filtered potentially saleable fic, all the posts*
It can be very handy when keeping my mom up to date, since she's 2000 miles
away.)
