[LMB] Getting TSK from amazon.co.uk

Mine has not yet arrived - since I had
the ARC I am less (but still somewhat)
peeved.

My experience is that Amazon UK schedules
long-standing orders badly - several items
I have ordered many months ahead of
publication have arrived long after I've
seen the same thing in the shops.

Complaints get the computer generated
"sometimes things take a bit longer"
letter and I have not yet discovered
how to engage the attention of a
real person with authority to DO
something at Amazon.

Does the same thing happen at Amazon in
other countries?

BTW, apropos an earlier post, while the
prices are higher it can sometimes be
cheaper to use Amazon France or Amazon
Germany to order books for delivery in
France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria
(I haven't tried their other neighbours)
because of much better postage rates.
