The Deputy Birthday Tixie hastily unpacks her wings, wand, and Tixie Dust,
and whistles for her two companions, ...
Shasta gives the Tixie Dust bag a good shake, spinning to send it
sparkling over
the entire world to transport all the listies to the Wide Green World
for a
bow-down to honor our favorite author's 57th birthday.

*** (snips much wonderfulness)

It's getting late, and a bit Novemberishly chilly in the courtyard, even
with the fire in the firepit--so we all have one last toast, and say:

*HAPPY 57TH BIRTHDAY, LOIS!!!*

and then goodnight.

The November Deputy Birthday Tixie, who hopes anyone left out will
understand that it was unintentional. You were there; I just didn't
see what you were
doing.

*** Thank you! That was delightful. And thank all the listees for
their good birthday wishes.

It is pronounced bow to rhyme with know, not bow to rhyme with cow, by
the by, in case anyone was wondering. It's a back-formation from hoe
down, of course (and the hyphen placement is anyone's guess.)

My real-life birthday had an erratic start, but ended very pleasantly.
Shopping for draperies, a exercise in frustration lingering from earlier
in the week, and which was not my first pick for today's activity, has
now concluded with success -- from no good choices, I now have two.
Cogitating. My son came over after work to bring me a birthday present,
an antenna for my new TV, and hook it up, plus de-bugging my e-mail
program that had gone wonky this week (yay!) and topping it all by
helping me find the neglected defrag function on my pc, double yay!
Services probably more appreciated than goods, but all was good. In
return I took him out for dinner to a favorite local place of mine, and
heard about his work week, etc. If I don't linger too long on-line, I
may top it all with a hot bath. Revelry!

bests, Lois.
