I use GAIM to connect to it too, but when I don't really know 
people, I tend to be more hesitant in trying to chat with them 
than I am in reading their journals. I leave GAIM running pretty 
much all the time because I want my sister, who is in Iraq, to 
have an easy way of contacting me if she gets a chance.
