Quite a lot of people  in the USA do enjoy their baths despite the
small size of the bathtubs,  right?

Ooh!! <envy>.  I still miss my Ohio house's huge bathtubs, big  enough that I 
could lie full length (they were about 6' long, 32" wide).   There were 
handheld showers for rinsing off, after the long, hot soak.
