For the purposes of Miles' conversation with Ellie, I
think that's right.
I think there's another important issue: when Miles
was in Cetaganda, he was working for Barrayar,
involved in a case for ImpSec. Maybe unauthorized,
maybe falling under the heading of "One of Miles' Wild
Adventures", but ImpSec nonetheless, and the
diplomatic corps as well. And as such, classified.
So I would argue for Miles to tell Ellie details would
be improper at the very least; dishonourable (in terms
of his Vor oaths to Gregor) and possibly even
treasonous.
Ellie didn't need to be told any details; she had what
she needed to know. And she was smart enough to know
that even disempowered women are not harmless.
namaste,
Elizabeth
