I can't think of any Lord Peter actors who would fit Miles. Michael
J. Fox is the usual candidate, at least him about 15 years
ago. [facetious] If we want short actors: How about Alan Ladd at 30
(shudder--the man could NOT act!)? Or maybe Mickey Rooney at 25,
when he was playing all the Andy Hardy movies?[/facecious] On the
other hand, if John Rhys-Davies (over 6 ft tall) can play Gimli the
Dwarf, then virtually any actor can play Miles and Mark.
My own candidates generally haven't come up with any real interest,
but I have always thought that the perfect Aral would have been
Anthony Hopkins--as he was 30 years ago for Shards/Barrayar, etc, and
as he is now for the last books. He doesn't have the deep rumbling
voice, however.
