I can honestly see someone taking this up as a fanfic. A very very twisted 
and weird fanfic.

However, we all know that Miles thinks that it's much easier to seek 
forgiveness than permission; Hammer seems to think that his Badge gives him 
all the permission he needs. In which case he might be best off paired with 
Ivan. I quote "The Warrior's Apprentice", page 295:

"Ivan, one of these days somebody is going to pull out a weapon and plug 
you, and you're going to die in bewilderment, crying 'What did I say? What 
did I say?'"

It seems that with one opening his mouth without thinking, and the other 
opening his holster without thinking, they might just do well...
