Oops, missed this the first time 'round...got it via LJ.
Yes. I'm willing to go fairly high myself, but I would be more than
happy to have my bid reinforced, in case of someone out there with
deeper pockets than I. Due to the nature of the auction (fast response
and payment on auction close), I would have to have the additional
amounts in hand by the time the auction closes...if we lose, any
payments would be refunded. I think, a minimum of $50 (since that is
what I was thinking for the donation to the John M Ford Endowment to
qualify for reading it post auction), with reading priority determined
by amount, then arrival time[1][2].

[1] Any amounts that arrived or were pledged after the auction closed
would start a second circulating list
[2] In the unlikely event of the auction not pushing my limits, all
amounts would be refunded and circulating order determined by amount and
time of donation directly to the JMF Endowment.
