When I was a kid, my step-grandpa _WAS_ Grandpa on my dad's side. And a good 
thing, too, because my real grandfather on my dad's side was someone nobody 
missed, and Grandpa #2 was, by all accounts, an extreme improvement on the 
original. It was my job, when visiting, to remind him to take his medicine 
(and his, to try to keep me out of trouble, including picking out all the 
taller hairs on the couch, which can get Interesting because there's always 
one more that's a little taller. You can see where this can lead).

He died of heart trouble when I was 10 and I still miss him.

James, you won't have any trouble. Just remain the joyous book pusher and 
curry-maker you always are, you'll be fine.
